Did you know that anything that flows into storm drains goes directly into the Red Deer River, untreated? When rainfall runoff flows across lawns, driveways and sidewalks, it picks up pollutants along the way and drops them into the catch basins. Do your part to keep that runoff free of chemicals and bacteria: Pick up pet poo, collect your leaves for yard waste collection, and sweep grass clippings back onto your lawn.
